Oil leak from oil pan drain plug 850 1994

I keep getting drips of oil from the drain plug on my 850 T5 Auto.
I have tried replacing the nylon washer and have tried a copper one as well with no joy.
Can anybody help me?

should be an ALUMINIUM washer..and if its ever seen a volvo dealer they probably overtorqued it like mine to about 2 zillion ft/lbs....and my cars now no longer go to the dealer....

    Try fumoto 850 1994

Stop that nagging oil leak forever.

Get yourself a fumoto oil drain valve, and you never have to worry, about leaks, damaged threads, washers, stripped bolt etc. And oil changes are a breeze, especially if you get the one with a nipple.

    Try www.fumoto.com and you'll see :)

This looks like good info. unfortunately i can only see one picture, Is there meant to be two pictures. I cant seem to view the other picture.
My sump has i slight machined inset which does seem strange. Is this normal?
I did check the tolerance and it seemed to be ok.

I see one picture too. His point is that the sealing surface should be machined smooth and not grainy. That's why he suggests smoothing it. If you'd rather not try to smooth it, you could degrease the surface, then cement a washer in place on the sealing surface using a hardening sealer like permatex. Then put a second washer on your new smooth surface and give that a try. You should not have to tighten this setup to "Crush" torque.
