Hey guys-
Has anyone had any success using any of the aftermarket woodtrim kits offered in Car&Driver, Road&Track, or M/T...or wherever?
What is the good word- price, ease of install, etc???

Don't bother???

I like the brushed metal trim kits much better than the
wood grain. Same price - check ebay.

I installed one in my '95 850 and was very pleased with the results. It looks like it came from the factory that way! I ordered my kit online from Wood Dash Factory. They have an excellent website and many different wood finishes to choose from. They also have a "clearance" section with a good selection. Mine came from the clearance section for $99. You can buy different kits that have more or less separate pieces in it depending on how much you want to add to your car. I believe that they actually supply wood dash kits to some OE manufacturers.

I see them on Ebay all the time for around $100.00 but I've been to cheap to bother with one. It would brighten up the interior a lot though.
