Check Engine Light On - No Fault Codes 850

My '94 850 Turbo wagon is running fine but the Check Engine Light is on. I proceeded to check the codes and got 1-1-1. Then I tried to clear any codes but now when I push the button 5 times and I get no response. Pressing once I get 1-1-1. I tried disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery but still the Check Engine Light is on and I can't use the clear codes function.

Anyone know what I can do to shut off the Check Engine Light?

Did you check A1, A2, A3 and A6 nodes? (Trans, engine, ABS, ignition). See Bay13 or OzBrick - if any code in any node has not been read the system will not reset. See also a recent post (around Dec 27 2004) regarding resetting codes.

I checked all the A and B nodes for codes and still won't go into the reset mode. Even disconnecting the battery didn't work. The car has been sitting idle in the cold Boston weather the last couple of months.
