I had a very tough time getting the rotors off my front wheels (lots of winter road salt around here). Then I discovered PB Blaster (any parts house). Sprayed it in the lug nut holes and down the vent slots on the rim. Waited about 30 minutes. Rotors came off with light tapping.

Like John mentioned, use a hammer, but baware if you doing the rear ones, as these can be a little tougher. The p-brake shoes sometimes want to hold onto the inside of the disc, and that requires some additional monkeying.

But, if you're doing the front, hammer away (assuming you're replacing the discs), or if not, use a dead blow or brass or lead hammer to get them off without marring the disc.

once the caliper is out, you need to unscrew the 10mm pin stud that is used for the wheels, then with a hammer just hit it around as you rotate it until it falls off.
