driving to work in my 1995 T5R with outside temperature of 12 degrees. Suddenly it felt as if engine was not firing on all 5 cylinders. Engine light came on.
Any ideas, please, anyone?

Possible poor fuel quality. Did you recently fill up? I have seen a few problems lately with water in the pump station tanks. Good luck.

thanks for your reply/help. I believe you were correct as the problem went away and has not occured since - it was most likely water in the gas line

Check your codes first, it's not that cold. Make sure your plug wires are solidly attached and the AMM plug is also snug.

Plugs,plug wires,dist cap,rotor? I would check all of these 1st.Check eng light is on most likley from mis fire codes. Good luck.
