I have a late 99 2.4 5sp auto, when engaging D or R I get a short sqweak from under the front of the car, probably the transmission but not 100% convinced of this, this also sometimes happens when I'm going round a sharp corner at low speed. Wondered if anyone knows what it could be before I dive in and try to track it down?

I would suspect the engine mounts. You have checked the tranny fluid level, of course.

Will look into that, thanks Klaus.
Transmission level is fine but fluid does look a little on the dark side so I may well get that changed. The cars only done 57k miles so fingers crossed it's nothing major.
