Automatic Transmission V70-XC70 2004

I own a XC70 2004. When the car is cold in the morning I let it warm up for about two to five minutes. The transmission (5 speed automatic)slips when it shift from 2nd. to 3rd. gear. The Dealer has performed the latest upgrade available (30646691)from VOLVO. The car shifts properly at operating temperature, bur when it is cold, even if I let it warm up for two to five minutes the trasmission still slips when shifting from 2nd. to 3rd. gear.
Has anyone experienced this recuring problem with the 2004 XC?

You need not let your car warm up at all before taking it out in the morning. Cold weather around here means -40, and then the tranny fluid turns to glue for 2 minutes or so. Bring it back to the dealer, park it there (outside) overnite and have the mechanic check it out. It is still under warranty, let the company fix it until they get it right.

I have the same model & year. What I do when its really cold is to let the car idle w/the trans. in Reverse for about two (2) minutes then go.
