Burning smell near driver-side rear wheel well - 98 S70

Hello,

I have noticed a slight burnt smell around the driver-side rear wheel well area after the car has been driven. There are no other symptoms I could find -- car drives fine, no noise, rim is cool, etc. It has been like this for a few weeks now. Any suggestions on what to check?

You say the rim is cool, what about the rotor?
Quite possibly it could be the rear emergency brake shoe is slightly
stuck. The shoe is located inside the rear drum and would not cause
the rotor nor the rim to heat up. Your shop could check this out for
@ 1/2 hour labour cost as it involves putting the car up on the hoist
and removing the rear brake caliper and the rotor in order to check
    the assembly inside the drum.
