850 Turbo gauge 850 1994

The Turbo gauge on my 1994 850 turbo does not seem to be working. The red indicator is stuck at the "12 o'clock" position and does not move, the turbo seems to be operating properly. The fuel and temperature gauges work fine. Any thoughts as to what the problem is?

There is a picture of the vacuum line close to the hood release lever on Bay13? When pulling off the instrument cluster the connection by the lever must be unplugged. You have a leak somewhere and you need to trace it down the line.

The turbo gauge is mechanical. It is conected to the engine via a vacuum hose that starts at the vacuum "tree" on the intake, runs forward along the top of the radiator fan shroud, curves around the battery and runs along the frame rail to the firewall, passing through to the gauge through a grommet under the brake booster. Common areas of leakage are near the front where it transitions from a rubber hose to a plastic tube, and around the battery area. If you have a hand held vacuum pump you can test with that. It is also possible that the hose broke or came loose on the dash side of the firewallbut you would hear a hissing noise while driving.
