My mechanic pulled a 2-2-2 code from Electronic transmission a-1 socket indicating a break in solenoid S2 circuit. What does this mean? Dash has up arrow flashing in sync with lights on centre console (econo- sport mode Switch). Car seems to be running in "limp mode". Might this also mean a faulty PNP?

    When's the last time the tranny fluid was changed? If its 25k or more change it. Reset the code and see if it comes back. A shop can change the S2 selenoid if it is in fact bad. Its a big pain in the ass for a person to do it in their garage.

    "Solenoid S2 open-circuit", reset the code and see if it goes away. If it comes back then I would say you need to check and replace the S2 solenoid.
