Dash Lights Started Blinking when Switch was Off S70 2000

Yesterday while driving home from work, my dash lights started to blink on and off. This happened when the switch was off! I wiggled the switch and the dimmer but it still blinked a few more times. Bumps on the road did not affect it.

What could it be? The car has 72.2k on it.

Did the dimmer sw have any effect on the lights? Did they dim/brighten? Possibly the dimmer sw. Pull it out and check the wires. If they are warm you will probably need a new sw.

It only happend that one time with the headlight switch in the off position.

is doing the same thing and its the headlight switch. Wiggle it around a bit and the dash lights should go off. I guess you could replace it but why bother.....its probably about 50-75 dollars for the dang parts! Wiggling is cheap.....nice and cheap! And hey....ya may even enjoy it!!!
