    ok Oppps

The problem im having is the car wears out the front tires bad. It wears the outside tread offboth tires in hardly no time.car feels like it pulls to right a little.I am taking car today to have front end alignment for a start. But wondered do bad struts cause this tire wear also?
the car has 84000 miles on it.

    Thanks Brad

Ok had front end alignment done today. after word i decided the car still pulled right so i took it back to have it looked at again.
they swaped front tires aroud and now car pulled left slightly. so the service tech tells me its the tires doing it with the un equal wear on them. is this realy the cause or is he blowin smoke . just wondering?

Where there's smoke there's fire....so INHO, the "cause" of the uneven wear was never diagnosed. Did your front-end guy check out the tie rod ends...the A-arms? On my previously owned '94 850 this was the problem, and it caused my passenger side front tire to wear inside (which I didn't notice until too late). Of course, if you swap the front tires the car will pull in the other direction from where the tire was worn...that's common sense. The repair shop should have done a more thorough job of diagnosing the cause...but then, they may have known nothing about Volvos, and were "stumped" but still had to come up with an explanation for you to keep themselves looking competent and not like fools.
