    missing tork strut rubber S70

ok here i go again sorry!

while doing oil change today noticed the ruber was gone out of the support brace on top of engine that attachees to the fire wall. I tried to get one local at auto parts store but was told this is dealler item. ughhhh

so guess i have no choice but to go to local volvo dealler over an hour away.

is this going to damage my engine or trans driving car like this till i get part to put on? I plant to go get part next week on my day off.

    Thanks T6texan

In the 60's I made one for my Mini out of a hockey puck.

My dad got a bit excited about the rubber all over his grinding wheel and workbench!

Of course the Mini had a lot less power.

Bear in mind that hard braking is probably harder on this bushing than acceleration is.

      Drive gently.

You did not say what year and model you have. IPDUSA.com may have a better than factory replacement. If not the dealer part is your answer. When replacing, try to get the engine off of the end of it's back and forth travel, somewhere in the middle of it's movement. Good luck.

Tried to install part myself. got old part out of bracket, new bushing apeared to be muth larger diameter . so i went back to volvo dealer they said it was correct part and i needed special bushing pressing to tool to install. so i let them install it.
          they charged $39.00 to install.

While they installed it they noticed my check engine light on and read code that said 611 vapor code. Anyone know what it might be that caused this code? They wanted to run vapor test and charge $78.00. they also reset light off and it hasnt came back on yet.

Could it be i need to change my flame trap again? I looked at flame trap and its oily.

          Thanks T6texan
