how loud is the horn? 850 1997

I'm thinking about upgrading my horn to a hella horn. Does anyone know the decibel difference? Thanks.

I replaced my 850 horns with the Hella supertone horns, they were about 70 bucks. They are for the autobahn with downrange projection. I like them a lot. They are red/black, disc shaped, not "horn" curved shaped.

A good upgrade for safety, has saved me a few sideswipe near misses, especially when alongside SUV's.

What hella horn are you looking for? I bought a set Hella 85315(2) which were 113 db, but not loud enough, then I purchased Hella 85115 which were 118, just right.

That means I have a set of Hella 85315 that I would sell for less than I purchased them, including s & h, if interested email me at volvo95@cox.net,
