timeing belt replacement S70 1998

I just bought 98 s 70 with 229 k miles on it. Ther is a sticker on the timeing belt cover that says it was last replaced at 171k 0r 177 k, Im not sure wich one it says. When should the belt be rplace again. Is it a 60k or 70 mile belt.
It is a volvo sticker so, I asume it is a volvo belt. The car is in great condition and was well taken care of, It doesnt look like it has 100 k miles much les 229 k.

Thanks
Dennis

timeing belt replacement S70 1998

In 1998 the timing belt (TB) replacement is recommended at 70,000 miles intervals.
OEM (and other brands, but not all) come with a sticker where you write the actual mileage when the TB was replaced. The next replacement needs to take place after you add 70K miles to the sticker mileage.

If everything is done by the book, you have the following schedule.
70,000 first TB replacement
140,0000 second TB replacement
210,000 third TB replacement
and so on...........

1999 is different.
