ETS, $48.00 cleaning was a flop. S70

Those of you who responded that cleaning the Throttle Body was not going to solve my problem were absolutely correct. Light came back on this morning has appeared to stay on - guess now I'll be parting w/ some big bucks! Thanks for the feedback in my earlier post.

I was one of the few who were helped by the cleaning, but remember...my cleaning was about $370 and the TB was not very dirty...it was a plugged banjo whole in the manifold...requiring removal of the Power Steering pump of the manifold. I had no warning lights...the car ran well but hunted like crazy at idle.

I still don't know what a banjo whole really is, exactly where it it is...or how anyone would clean it themselves.

Cleaing will not cure it. See posts under post a few ones above yours.

Tina,
He has one of those NEW cars with an electronic throttle. The sensor/module fails and then the gas pedal no longer works. Be thankful you have an 850 whose tailgate won't work, but still goes down the road :)
