CEL On - code P107 S70

The Check Engine Light came on in my 98 S70 GLT. An OBDII scan revealed a P107 error code.

Anybody have any experience with this and thoughts on how this maybe fixed ?

Thanks in advance.

CEL On - code P107 S70

Guest,

My car ('98 S70 w/80K) threw the CEL and I took it to Autozone for the free read.

The guy said it was the MAP sensor. That's strange since the '98's have a mass airflow sensor, but not a manifold abolute pressure sensor.

Anyway, I used Radio Shack spray contact cleaner on the MAS wire and the light hasn't come back on since I did this a couple of weeks ago. I've had the car on a 2 hour highway trip and lots of city driving.

Only problem is that I lost one of the screws that holds the housing to the airbox. Oh well.

The atmospheric pressure sensor is the issue here, most likely.

The atmospheric pressure sensor is just in front of the washer fill, behind the head light, held to a stand off on the inner fender with a 8mm bolt. The sensor has a pink connector on it.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting it, and if that does not do the trick, you are looking at about $150 or so for the part.

Thanks for the info about the location of the MAP sensor.
I unplugged the connector, took the sensor off (8mm socket). i cleaned the connectors and the sensor with alcohol - dried it out with forced air and put it back on.
I reset the CEL. It's been about 50 miles of city driving and it hasnt come back on yet. So I a hoping..

fingers crossed.....

thanks again for you help.

CEL On - code P107 S70 1998

I have the same error on my s70 GLT - I read the codes and reset them using an OBDII tool. Ran fine for a couple of days and then MIL light came right back on.

The car drives okay - no apparent driveability issues. So is it just a faulty sensor? or is there something else that can cause this code..

thanks in advance for your advice.
