Has anyone changes out the factory standard radio for an upgrades model? This is for an '04 v70. The radio/sound system in the '04 is very poor when compared to the system in a '94 840. Radio reception and sound quality are both poor.

I too have an 04 V70 and am most disappointed in the base stereo. Have a 97 850GLT with the premium sound system, which is the best I've heard. I'd love to know if anyone has upgraded their system, and how it turned out.

My S60 radio reception (AM in particular) is awful as well. There is supposed to be a fix if you take it in to the dealer. I'm going to request this next time I'm in for the scheduled maintenance (15K). If I were you I would do this before I switch out the entire stereo. Good luck.
