Does the blower motor resistor have cooling fins on it?

Hi, you may be talking about what Volvo calls the "Power Unit", at least on my 1995 850 wagon. It is actually a power transistor, which the ECC control unit opens and closes to regulate the blower motor being off or its speed when on. It has cooling fins and mounts in the air duct housing just to the left of the blower, behind the glove box. Hope this helps, Brad
