S70 A/C S70 1998

I just found out about this website and I am waiting for my password. Hopefully someone has faced a similar problem. On my S70 GLT (98) when I turn the A/C on approx. 7 AM OAT (outside air temp) lets say 65 degrees, A/C runs great, discharge air between 39 & 41 degrees, this goes on for as long as the A/C is running. I arrive at work, park the car. Few hours later get back in the car, OAT 80 degrees, select A/C, and no cool air. I hear the compressor kick on and off, but no cooling. Same thing day after day. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. (System is not low on fluid.)

See posting on 31 March 2004 for some good insights. With my 98 S70 it was the evaporator and associated hoses that required replacement just after warranty expiration. The system was band-aided by dealership while under warranty several times. Approximate cost was 1500.00. May not be a low cost simple fix in exitance. Good luck.
