last night i bought an 850 with the little turbo with 137000 miles and im in love.
there are a few things that need work, and im going to start with the following:

driver heated seat does not work,,,button lights up as if to work, but never gets hot or warm. how can i fix this?

pass side climate control temp dial does not light up...is it a bulb, or that entire climate control unit? if its a bulb, how can i remove it to replace the bulb

already on order...antena mast rebuild kit. :)

thanks for all your help

Bun warmers: The spade connectors (2) underneath the seat sometimes disconnect from all the seat movement. Check those first.

i remember there was a recall on the seat heaters last year and they did mine for free. call a dealership and ask. the antenna mast could be bought from ebay at around 12-15$. install is very easy and instrux are usually included. you didnt say what year yours is
regards

sorry, please allow me to be more descriptive:
1997 850 (854) with little turbo, cream leather, white paint, turbo wheels, spoiler, sunroof, and wipers on the headlights!!! :)

i drove it to eastern Long Island last night in the rain, and it is just so nice! comfy with a stiff feeling when turning...AHHHHHHHH-awesome!

So is it a Turbo, or GLT, the GLTS for 97 had a LPT, while the Turbos retained their HPT.

it is labeled as a GLT......97 volvo 850 GLT :)

i was driving a 940 w/out before the 850, and it was pretty sluggish. sometimes the hwy onramps were a little scary, so i had to act aggressive to get on. the 850 has enough power to shove along up to speed. it also has sunroof, heated seats, leather...it is less basic than the 940, which was a base model.

the steering wheel feels heavy in the 850, and im still kind of getting used to it, but then its front wheel drive, so its going to feel different....the 940 was RWD, and it was so light on the steering wheel...just enough.

im going to miss the RWD in the winter, though....i loved going out and getting sideways- so much fun! now i have to e-brake hehe :)
