hi!! ive got a 1996MY 855 - i turned on my front interior lights while driving, turned them off, then back on again and they went off.

No problem, its a fuse i thought - so checked them out, and the fuse wasnt blown (no.15 - 10amp)also the radio and door-open warning lights still work ok.

So means i'll have to look at it a bit deeper!! Doubt all 4 bulbs went! The very rear light above tail gate still ok, but im not sure if thats on the same fuse

Before i dig out Haynes wiring diagram and get my voltmeter out, anyone know of any auxilary fuse/relays etc which might have done this??

    The switches on these lights are pretty crappy to say the least. I've a '95 and have to fiddle with the ones above the passenger doors to keep them working. They're so poorly made that just shutting the door makes the light quit working!!!

      Yeah, I had to replace the overhead console ($60) because of that cheap switch.Looking at the broken switch afterwards, it was obvious that this thing was just not designed to last. With the new console in place, I make it a point to avoid manually using any of the 3 switches unless absolutely necessary.
