Clunk shifting from P to R 850 1995

Hi,
My wife`s 850 wagon(180K) has an intermittent clunk when shifting from Park into reverse. It does not do this when shifting into any other gear. Could this be a worn tranny mount or ?.

Most likely, (and hopefully) it just the u-joints have started to wear.
Any reputable shop should be able to check this out for you free of charge.

In my car, occasionally when starting from starting the car and shifting to reverse right away, there is a clunk. I thought I read 1-2 months ago a post that suggested this could be caused by a defective/incorrectly placed rear spring bumper stop. I searched for 10 minutes here but I couldn't find it. Mine happens only occasionally so I haven't looked further (at the car or the posts). Good luck. '95 854T
