Lexol
Volvo leather has premature aging issues.
Whatever you use, use it in a regular basis.

I also recommend Lexol leather care products : cleaner and conditioner. At least, I use it on my BMW and so far so good. BMW dealer also sell Lexol leather products instead of their own brand!!!!

I have a 1999 S70 (actually bought in Late summer of 98') that has 126,000 miles on it and has spent a good part of its life in the hot North Carolina Sun. I have used Lexol religeously since the beginning and it has been great. I have zero cracks or wear spots. People get in my car and they can believe that it is 6 years old with 126,000 miles on it.

good luck.

Lexol products are a great way to go. Get the cleaner and conditioner - two seperate products. Never trust the one step cleaner/conditioners - how can you do both effectively at the same time.

t6,

Leatherique.

Their Rejuvenator Oil and Prestine Clean will preserve the leather.

If the seats are cracked already, they make a crack filler and leather dye that are excellent. I've used this filler and dye to restore the seriously cracked driver's seat, and the repair has held up well.

The oil seems to get rancid after 2-3 months. So, don't buy more than you'll use at one time.

Good luck,
Bryan

t6texan,

The seating surfaces, the faces of the head restraints and the front arm rest are leather. Your car may also have a leather shift knob and/or leather covered steering wheel depending on options.

Everythings else is vinyl. Don't use the Rejuvenator Oil on vinyl. You can use the Prestine Clean.

If it's a T5 the door and seat inserts are alcantara. This is a synthetic material and you shouldn't use any Leatherique product on it.

I apply "303" Aerospace protectant to the cleaned surfaces to protect them from UV damaage. You can find it at some auto supply stores and most boating supply stores.

Bryan
