Price for a 2001 S40 S40-V40

I'm considering buying a 2001 S40 and have located two candidates. Both are 2001 models, comparably equipped (single CD, moonroof) and with 39k/43k miles on them. My mechanic, who works on our V70, checked them both out and said they only need minor repairs (under $250). He said both were good little cars.

The asking prices are also comparable ($12,450/$12,500) and both are off-lease vehicles from the south (SC/FL). What would you consider a fair price for such a car in Georgia?

    Dunno about Georgia, but my daughter was looking at a couple of 2001 S40's with Turbo here in Bitish Columbia with 60,000miles (85000km) and they were in the 15-16000Cdn range, which should be about the same as your quoted asking price in USD.
