Headlight lenses 850 1997

My glass headlight lenses are pretty well pitted and chipped. Is there an after market source that for replacemnts with,say, a lexan material?
Or am I stuck with the glass. Any idea on cost and recommnded replacemnt ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

    Frank,
    Check www.fcpgroton.com and get e-code spec lenses. They will give you better, in my opinion, pattern. Also check the internet for headlight protectors. This is a thick clear plastic (8 mil?) film that you can put on your lenses to protect them from flying debris.
    I went this route two years ago and never regreted.

    If memory serves, the lens is $100+ from Volvo. I bought a plastic one from Swedish Car Parts (I think) for around $35 on ebay. I have seen glass lenses on ebay for much less than dealer price. I can't say anything about quality of any of these other than my lens fit perfectly and the optics work very well.

    When you get new lenses, consider a product called ClearBra. I had it put on the nose of my car, headlight and turn lenses, and front of side mirrors. Had it on for about 5 years now, no rock chips at all and looks great. Here is the URL: (you need a Clearbra Dealer to do the nose of the car, but you can do the lamp lenses and mirro backs yourself)

    Replacement glass lenses are available all over the place.

    VLVworld.com also has PMMA plastic replacement 850 lenses, and you may want to look into IPD's various headlight protection options.
