What is the SE variance? S40-V40 1998

I've bought a '98 2L S40. The insurance listed it as a 2.0SE, and I want to check if this is correct. What's the difference between the normal model and the SE? This one was first sold in Singapore, I'm in New Zealand. Thanks.

Try reading this review page... lots of stuff...the "equipment" section should help you...

If you have time to kill, go to "Google" and type in "1998 Volvo S40 specifications"....

You'll find the above link, and a slew of others.

Put on your reading glasses... :)

Thanks. I've read lots of reviews before buying, but must have missed this one. Looks like mine is a combination of all the models. It has the CD changer, leather seats, twin lights, wood trim, wood steering wheel, height adjustable driver's seat... So it's a TSEXTCD without turbo and sunroof. Nice.

        Exactly!!!

A S-40/V40 SE FWD w/ABS, ECC, DOHC, CD, ESC, TRACS, ESP, ..... :)

I think I would have gotten a kick out of seeing the "code" column on the orignal bill of sale... it must have looked like alphabet soup.

Compare that with the following order:

One Biscayne 2 door please. Blue, with the 409.

        That was all you needed.
        Those were the days....
