Hi all,
I've just bought a used 1998 v70 and the rear bumper has been scuffed up due to loading/unloading of gear. The top surface of the bumper is really the only place where the scratches occur. Simply applying paint will mask the notches in the plastic, but I'd rather fill them and then paint over them.
Questions:
- What material is best for this type of job? I imagine I need some type of epoxy? Also figure I need to apply, sand the newly applied material, buff the surface and then paint?
- How best to repaint the plastic so that it doesn't look like a re-painted bumper? :) I'd rather do this myself and not go to an autobody shop.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
