For 97R owners--best all-season radial? 850

Is there a really good all-season radial in the 205-45-17? I've checked Tire Rack and Discount Tires, and the only two that seem worth looking at are Avon and Goodyear Eagle, the latter being quite expensive. Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about these two? I live in the Willamette Valley which is rainy eight months out of the year, and enjoy a quiet ride. I'm not really into performance driving. Any other recommendations greatly appreciated. Dick
