Yesterday, after a trip to the city and in slow traffic my 2000 S70 GLT Turbo turned into a smoke bomb. I didn't notice any smoke during the trip until stopped (idling) in traffic. It was blueish and coming out the exhaust. The car seemed to drive normal and no CEL.
I parked the car and went to the show as planned and drove the car home, about 25 miles. It continued to smoke as I drove at 55mph but not very noticable until I let off the throttle, then I could see it get worse.
I got home and checked things out under the hood. Nothing jumped out at me. I did notice that there is no noticable vacuum at the oil filler cap while idling. (I removeed the filler cap and put my hand over the opening) I took the car for a short drive today and it smoked less as time went by. I wound up the turbo a few times to "clean things out" (full accelleration from 0-70) and everything appears normal
What gives? Is there a vacuum control in the PCV system that could cause this?
I know my 96 Turbo inside and out but the S70 is new to me and they changed a few things in the intake and PCV system.
Anybody have a clue?
Thanks for replies.
