Air Pump Solenoid Valve 1998

My Air Pump Solenoid Valve is disconnected. It appears to be done by a shop and probably a dealer (pink paint on end of connector). Why would that be? And would there be any driving problems because of it (after warm-up)?
I bought this 1998 V70 AWD a few weeks ago.
