i am having problems with an s80 2.9 , it has various messages displayed at various times on the dash indicator, these range from abs lamp on traction control lamp on, lambda lamp on, transmission service needed, brake failure stop asap,emission service needed, these dont seem to have any affect on the way the car drives,in fact it goes really well, with the exception of the cruise control not working when any of the brake or tc systems are illuminated. if i disconect the battery they all may stay off for a number of days but then will come on and go off at random . i had a similar problem but only related to the emmission system failure lamp being on about 6 months ago, i had all the fault codes read and was told to replace the two post cat lambda probes, i sourced these from my local volvo dealer fitted them and had no more problems till recently.this is a really annoying problem, short of covering the dash display with black tape, can anyone out there help?
