Swapping out a tired '96 N/A B5254S in my manual transmission'd 850 with same year and engine out of a car that had an automatic. Only difference between to two cars is the transmission.
Anyone aware of problems this engine swap?
I am aware of the need for a different pilot shaft bushing.
I noticed from the parts manual that the camshafts between the manual and automatic are different. I assume the differences are minor power-curve alterations, so I'm not planning on playing with them.
Also, the rotating accelerator linkage under the black plastic cover above the throttle body is different between the manual and automatic. Not sure of the differences between the two.
Is there anything else of consequence that anyone is aware of?
