hi fellow brick detectives,

within the last 5000 miles or so, my 1996 850 (non-turbo glt automatic 110K) has developed a low-to-mid whining/groaning pitch that changes with rpm. noise is pronounced during stop and go driving. i have had a tranny fluid change and some pcv work done recently--not sure if related. have a listen to this sound if you have the chance, and let me know if you have heard this. thanks!

20 sec mp3 recorded on laptop mic from inside cab. best listened to with larger speakers to separate whining from normal engine sound.
