transmission service light S60 2001

I have a 2001 S60 with automatic transmission and 102,000 km. Recently the transmission service light came on and subsequently "emission service required" indicator. This same series of events occurred at 96,000 km, about 4 months ago, and the transmission fluid (which was apparently very dirty) was changed by my Volvo specialist shop. It appears I may have a transmission problem. Any thoughts?
