ABS and Trac light V70-XC70

I just got a V70 XC Cross-country. On the way home the ABS and Trac light came on. It stayed for a while and then turned itslef off. Unfortunately, I do not have a user's manual yet. What does this light mean, how bad is the error, can I still drive before bringing it to the shop? Thanks for the help.
