Clunk in rear of 850 850 1993

For a couple months now my 850 has been making a loud clunk in the back end when i go over bumps (usually larger ones). The sound is kind of hollow as though it may be coming from the exhaust or the gas tank(?). I jacked up the car and tried wiggling around the exhaust but I was unable to get it to make any noise. Any ideas?
