Can you put a 1998 V70 auto trans into a 1996 850 Turbo?

Hiya all.. my tranny just died on my '96 850 Turbo, and I found a better deal with lower miles on a 1998 V70 Turbo auto transmission than on a 1996 850 Turbo transmission.. I'm showing they use the same type, and my 1996 is OBD2 compliant. Though some sites I've seen say the 850 uses an AW50-40 trans and the 70 series uses AW50-42LE.. it should work, right?

I'm buying it tomorrow so your prompt input is much appreciated :)
