Just got a 2000 V70 glt with 100k. I smelt gas after fill up (service light went on as well) and saw a leak where the fill up tube connects to the gas tank. It looks like there is a large clamp at the tank at something is leaking. I havent taken it all apart, and not sure how or what i am gonna need to replace. Is this normal?
I was a few hundred miles from home and have not had the time to fix it. I drove it home and driven it a bit since then around town. It didnt happen simultaneously but now my car seems to be having power and shifting problems. As RPMs increase and it is about to shift the car hesitates and shakes a bit, especially from a stop and up a hill. Any thoughts? Is my tranny probably screwed or is it having problems because of air leak in gas tank?
