I got it..$500 for 95 850 GLT auto, now the fun begins.. 850

Hi,

Well, my wife and I test drove the car today and she ran fine. Strong pull in each gear. Owner wanted 1K obo but after naming a number of problems with the car, I offered 500 and he took it. Now I got myself a project car. Here are the list of problems:

1. Radiator leak at top hose..this happened to my 940 and it was because the clamps were overtightened which craked the plastic neck. Now how hard is it to replace this part? Thanks

2. Passenger side airbag was deployed, so the flap is just there. Thinking of just sealing it off and buying a custom made dash cover. Any suggestions?

3. Needs new brakes...how hard is it to DIY the brakes. Planning on getting new rotors too.

4. PO not sure when timing belt was done. So since it's an interference car I will have to take her to my mechanic for him to replace the belt, water pump and seals.

5. Rusted tailpipe...

6. Steering wheel points at 10 and 4 o clock rather than straight 12 and 6 when the car is on the road. Not sure how I'll be able to fix this, but she is able to stay straight when I let go of the wheel. It's just the sterring wheel is not straight up and down.

Well...that's it for now until I get the car home. PO lost his original title and a copy won't arrive till this coming week. So I don't have the car yet and won't be able closely inspect it. The body and interior is in good shape. I'll be takin gpixs once my wife and I gets done detailing her. Anyways, this is our second family car hope to hear from everyone who can help me get her up to Stage 0.
