Can`t reset trip meter, temp after battery dis-connect 850 1995

Hi,
My wife`s 850 had some service done recently & apparently, battery was dis-connected. Now the tripmeter, temp, etc wo`nt reset. The time is still displayed but only 24 hr time. I`ve tried to reset the tripmeter holding the button for 3 seconds as per instructions in the manual. No luck!
What should I try next?
