Has anyone ever had a brake squeal "work itself out"? The reason I ask is that I just replaced a failed right front caliper and that wheel had been squealing god-awful at a certain pedal pressure starting about 2 months after I had replaced pads and rotors (but at the time I didn't changed the caliper).
When I replaced the caliper this evening, I made sure to lube up everything nice and good before I put it back on. Upon test driving, much to my dismay, it still squeals.
So can a failed caliper make squeal? And should I therefore wait it out a little bit to see if the new caliper will make it go away? I know the whole "well, I've never had an issue with x and y pads and rotors" statement, but it would simply not be economical to buy new stuff after only 6k on these rotors/ pads.
Any suggestions?
