Too good to be true? Want to buy a 2002 V70.

Hello all,

My 965 has a hole in the engine. I'm still driving it but it's not very practical to fill the thing with water every 70kms. :) With 333.800km, it served me well.

I came accross a (april) 2002 V70 2.4T automatic with only 36000km on the clock and at very good conditions (fair price and two years full warranty). It is for sale at a Volvo-dealer, some manager from the Volvo-factory drove it. It is an absolutely stunning car, without scratches or dents. And strangely, this car has all the options I would have chosen.

Now, my question: any things I should think of before buying it? Is the 2.4T petrol-engine still a real Volvo-engine? Is it reliable? Does this car have any electrical issues like the ones from 1999 to 2001?

I plan to convert this car to run on LPi, like I did my 965. But I'm not sure what kind of valves this engine has, hydraulic or mechanic?

I plan to decide tomorrow, since I do not expect it to be for sale for very long. Please, send your remarks quickly. Thank you.

uTurn2. 1992 965.
