Door drag not working. Strap OK. 850 1995

The door strap hasn't broken yet but the drag that holds the door at the mid point or open position isn't working.

I've read the Ozbrick site's DIY strap repair page but no mention of the drag.

I'm guessing I'll have to pull the door (for ease of access) and pull the interior panel to get to the drag mechanism.

Any insight would be most appreciated.
