Back in January (I can't reply to the old thread) I posted that my 94 850 turbo wagon (50Kmiles now) started to blow up rear wiper fuses (15A, position 33). It started to blow them up when the switch was operated, but never when the wiper was operating. If I was lucky and the it blow up when started, it would work ok.
Then after some time, it started to blow fuses up with the first operation of the switch, so at Klaus suggestion I used some wd40 and also checked the wiring on the hinge, but it was like new. I discovered that if I pushed the rear washer button, the wiper would work without blowing up the fuse, so that's how I've been using it for the past 6 months (even though it only gives you a few strokes).
Well....that was until yesterday, when it blew up a new fuse by pushing the washer button. I replaced it, and it blew up the new one after just pushing the button (you can actually see the wiper trying to move).
I would think it is the motor, or a grounding issue because for a while it worked fine when using the washer. I suspect it could be the rear wiper switch on the steering wheel that has deteriorated gradually until it also affected the washer. I'd appreciate any ideas on other possibles causes, and also on how to disassemble the switch.
