Another Battery Questions 850

Hello All,

The other day people were sharing comments about what was the best type of battery to replace. Several people recommended battteries from Wal-Mart or Sears. I have always purchsed OEM Volvo batteries from the dealer ($$$!) because the battery fit perfectly (I have a '96 850 GLT Wagon)plus I could use the black plastic hold down clip to secure the battery.

The subsitute batteries sold my Wal-Mar, Sears or even BJ's, can they also be secured by the Volvo hold down plastic clip? That clip is the primary reason I keep purchasing the more expensive Volvo battery over the other batteries available from mass marketers like Wal-Mart, etc.

Has anyone been able to use that plastic clip on non-Volvo batteries? Thanks.
