Safety and Collision Repair V70-XC70 1998

I'm interested in buying a V70 wagon but I found out it has been involved in a rear end collision. I'm told their was no air bag/SIPS/WHIPS deployment but over 5K of damage was done.

I'm wondering how I can find out if the car was repaired to original Volvo specs so that all the safety features will work correctly in the event it gets hit again? Can a dealer somehow test this? If there's no way to know for sure, I'll probably have to walk away from the deal.

Thanks for any and all advice,
