Hi,
A tire on my 97 850 has had an air leak. At this point, I have to put air in it daily. Firestone has tried to fix it twice. The first time around the replaced the valve stem. The second time around they showed me the rim (steel), it is very uneven (corroded) on the inside surface of the outer perimeter, where the tire's bead touches. According to them, this is why no proper seal can be formed, and I have to get a different rim.
Does this sound right? If so, where to get a new or good used rim (just basic stock steel)?
Thanks in advance.
