I wanted to thank all the good people here who have slogged through my posts, trying to figure out what I am asking, and offering advice from experience with maintaining the 850. The car rides better than it has since I bought it. Having taken care of numerous things that have cropped up (many with help), it is a pleasure to get in and drive. OK, so I have a pending axle issue that will be addressed separately, and my fender isn't perfect when looking in the sunlight (due to caring for a relative, I quit my job a few years ago and don't currently view slight imperfections the way I used to), but the inside is pretty close to perfect, and the outside looks better most 12 year old cars, and it runs great.
