After I shut my car the fan remains on--often so long it drains the battery. (I finally figured that part out). I now disconnect the battery every time I park. Usually when I reconnect it, even after 16 hours (overnight) the fan starts to run immediately even before I turn on the ignition. Had electrical system checked by Dealer. Passed with flying colors. EEC (climate control) lights also flashing upon start-up. Dealer checked that too. Threw 3 codes: 135--Engine temp no frequency, 222--Passenger side damper motor signal missing, 414--in car temp sensor faulty--but dealer says unrelated to battery problem, and EEC probs annoying but not affecting functioning of car. Therefore I didn't fix it. Was not fixing a mistake? I've had 2 battery replacements and 6 Boosts in 3 months. Not realistic to constantly disconnect battery. Is the EEC or the fan or both causing my drained battery problem? Can anyone help? My alarm is factory installed and can't be disabled. Thank you.
